Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to feel confident before committing to a module. This is how we handle refunds and cancellations.

Last updated · 21 May 2026
The short version: 7-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase. Full refund if you have consumed less than 20% of the module’s content. After that, purchases are non-refundable. All approved refunds are credited back to the original payment method used at checkout (the same card, mobile wallet or bank account that initiated the payment via PayHere) — we do not issue refunds as cash, store credit, or to any other account.

1. The 7-day cooling-off period

If you change your mind, you can request a full refund within 7 days of the original purchase date, provided you have studied less than 20% of the cards and questions in that module (or, for the all-access bundle, less than 20% across the included modules).

We measure usage by the number of cards reviewed and questions answered against the total in the module. Once 20% is reached, the purchase is considered consumed and no longer refundable, even within the 7-day window.

How we count: usage is measured as (cards reviewed + questions answered) ÷ (total cards + total questions) in the module, combined into a single percentage. Each card and each question counts at most once — reviewing a card multiple times does not increase usage. Only activity from the moment of purchase onwards is counted; anything you reviewed during the free trial does not eat into your 20%. For the all-access bundle, usage is aggregated across every included module.

2. After the cooling-off window

Past the 7th day from purchase, or above the 20% usage threshold, all purchases are final and non-refundable. This matches typical practice for digital study content where the value is delivered up front.

3. Cancelling a recurring subscription

If you are on a recurring (monthly) subscription, you can cancel at any time from Settings → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next charge but keeps your access active until the end of the current period. Cancelling does not refund the current period’s payment.

4. Failed charges

If PayHere cannot collect a recurring payment, we will keep your access live for a short grace period while it retries. If the charge ultimately fails, your access is downgraded to the free trial and you can buy a fresh term from the Store.

5. Refund method — back to your original payment source

Everything MedFlash sells is digital module access. There is no physical product, no shipping, and no return of goods. Every approved refund is returned to the exact payment method used at the time of purchase — the same card, mobile wallet, eZ Cash account or bank account that initiated the payment via PayHere. We cannot redirect a refund to a different card, account, or person, and we do not issue refunds as cash or store credit.

If the original card has expired or the account has been closed in the meantime, contact your bank: refunds posted to a closed account are returned to the issuer and the bank routes them to your new account on record.

The following are not refundable beyond the cooling-off window:

  • redeem codes that have already been applied to an order;
  • orders where the cooling-off window has expired or 20% of the module has been consumed;
  • gift / promotional access granted by an admin.

6. Defective or incorrect content

If a flashcard, question, or explanation is incorrect, please report it via FeedbackContent correction. We will fix the content for everyone — that is the right remedy for an education product. Individual refunds for content errors are not issued, because a single corrected card does not change the value of the module overall.

If a paid module is broadly unusable due to a technical issue on our end, that falls under Exceptional cases below.

7. Exceptional cases

We will issue a refund outside the standard policy when:

  • you were charged twice for the same module due to a technical error;
  • a recurring charge went through after a successful cancellation on our side;
  • we removed a module from sale within 7 days of your purchase;
  • a paid module is broadly unusable due to a technical failure on our end and we cannot fix it within a reasonable timeframe.

8. How to request a refund

Email support@medflash.org from the address on your MedFlash account with the order ID (visible under Settings → Subscriptions → Payment history) and a short note on why you are requesting the refund.

Processing times:

  • We respond to refund requests within 3 business days.
  • Approved refunds are issued via PayHere within 5 business days of approval, back to the original payment method used at checkout.
  • Bank settlement to your card / account typically takes a further 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider.
